Decide on aftercare for your pet's name

Two kind options, whichever feels right: a home burial, or cremation (individual, so you keep the ashes, or communal) through a pet crematorium — your vet can arrange this. In England & Wales you can usually bury a small pet in your own garden, and scatter or bury ashes from an individual cremation on your own land, without permission — as long as it's your own land and your pet didn't die of a notifiable disease (the Environment Agency covers this; Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own regulators, so check locally).
Let your vet know

A quick word to the practice closes {{pet_name}}'s records and stops routine reminders — check-ups, vaccination and worming prompts — from arriving later. They can also help with aftercare if you'd like.
Wind down repeat deliveries and payments

When you feel able to: cancel or pause any repeat medication, food or treat deliveries, and pet insurance. There's no hurry — do them one at a time. If you set these up in your New Pet setup, they're listed there.
Turn off the reminders from your New Pet setup

So nothing prompts you unexpectedly, pause or turn off the recurring routines your New Pet setup created — feeding, walks, grooming and vet-reminder routines. There's no need to delete anything today.

There's no deadline and no rule about this — but when you feel able to, you can let the microchip database {{pet_name}} is registered with know, so the record is closed. Several approved databases exist and we won't know which holds the chip: your registration paperwork or your vet will tell you which one to contact. (As an owner you're responsible for keeping a pet's chip record up to date — dogs UK-wide, and cats in England — but nothing here is urgent.)
